Workshop
Terms & Conditions

Please read these terms carefully before booking. By booking, you confirm that you have read and accepted them.

1. Bookings and payment

Your place is secured once full payment is received. Your ticket includes the activities, materials and refreshments listed in your workshop description.

2. Cancellations and transfers

Cancellations received at least 14 days before the scheduled workshop start will receive a full refund.

Change-of-mind cancellations received less than 14 days before the workshop, including non-attendance, are non-refundable, subject to applicable law.

You may transfer your booking to another person at no additional charge. Please notify us before the workshop and provide the replacement guest’s full name. The replacement guest must meet the workshop’s age requirements and agree to these terms.

These conditions do not limit your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

3. Changes, cancellations and minimum numbers

Workshops require a minimum number of participants. If minimum numbers are not reached, we will notify you at least seven days before the workshop. You may choose a full refund or a transfer to another available date.

If we otherwise cancel your workshop or make a significant change to the date, time or advertised experience, we will contact you and offer a full refund or a transfer to another available date.

4. Weather and workshop location

Workshops take place beside our private lake, weather permitting. Depending on conditions, the workshop may move to the commercial marquee adjacent to the restaurant and farm gate.

Workshops may proceed in wet or warm weather where it is safe to do so. Please dress appropriately and bring an umbrella if your experience includes a garden tour.

If conditions prevent us from safely delivering the experience, including temperatures of 35°C or above, severe thunderstorms or heavy rain, we may cancel at our discretion or reschedule. You may then choose a full refund or a transfer to another available date.

5. Arrival, parking and late attendance

Please arrive 15 minutes before the scheduled start and park in the farm car park, where a staff member will meet you.

All participants must be present for the opening safety briefing. Guests arriving after the scheduled start will forfeit their place and cannot join the workshop partway through. No refund will be provided for late attendance, subject to applicable law.

6. Safe participation

Candle making involves hot wax, heated equipment, glass vessels and fragrance materials. Guests must follow the facilitator’s instructions and use equipment only as directed.

Please tie back long hair and avoid loose clothing around equipment. Anyone impaired by alcohol or other substances cannot participate in candle making. Unsafe behaviour may result in participation being stopped.

7. Allergies, sensitivities and dietary requirements

We cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment. Workshop materials include fragrances and botanical ingredients that may affect guests with sensitivities.

Where refreshments are included, please advise us of all dietary requirements in advance. Special dietary requests are subject to availability and must be confirmed with us before attendance.

8. Children, visitors and spectators

Participants must be aged 12 years or older. Participants aged 12 to 14 years inclusive must be supervised throughout the workshop by a responsible adult who also holds a paid workshop ticket.

Only booked, paying participants may attend the workshop. Visitors, spectators and accompanying children who are not booked participants are not permitted in the workshop area.

9. Your finished candle and handmade variations

Handmade candles may vary slightly in colour, scent strength, surface texture and finish. Each candle is individually created, and minor variations are a natural part of the making process. This does not affect your rights concerning faulty or unsafe products.

Your facilitator will explain cooling, transport, curing and safe burning instructions. Candles must cool sufficiently before being moved.

If your candle is not ready to take home, we will discuss collection arrangements with you. Postage can also be arranged at your expense, with the cost confirmed beforehand, subject to your consumer rights.

10. Materials and scent availability

Vessels, fragrances and other materials are subject to availability. If an advertised item becomes unavailable, we may provide a comparable alternative of equivalent quality and value.

If a substitution significantly changes the advertised experience, we will notify you and offer a full refund or a transfer to another available date.

11. Access requirements

Please contact us before booking to discuss any mobility or access requirements. Garden tours and access to the lake involve outdoor paths and uneven ground.

We will discuss the route, facilities and any available adjustments with you so you can decide whether the experience meets your needs.

12. Farm access and footwear

Red Hill Lavender Farm is an outdoor working farm with uneven ground, animals, insects and wildlife, including the possible presence of snakes.

Please wear appropriate enclosed footwear, stay within designated visitor areas and follow staff directions. Children must remain supervised at all times. Swimming in the lake and entering working sheds or restricted areas are not permitted.

13. Private group bookings

Private group bookings must be arranged directly with us at least 14 days before the proposed workshop date and are subject to availability.

Final participant numbers, dietary requirements and full payment must be confirmed at least 14 days before the workshop. Separate private group booking terms will be provided on our private bookings page and with your booking confirmation.

14. Photography

You are welcome to photograph your experience while respecting other guests’ privacy.

By booking, you consent to Red Hill Lavender Farm using photographs or video taken of you during the workshop for promotional purposes, including our website and social media. If you prefer not to be photographed or included in promotional material, please advise us before the workshop begins.

For guests under 18 years of age, this permission must be provided by their parent or legal guardian.

15. Consumer rights and acceptance

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any rights or remedies available to you under the Australian Consumer Law.

By booking, you confirm that you have read, understood and accepted these terms and conditions.
